Message from Our Co-Presidents

Dear Lewis Families,

Welcome to this exciting year of new beginnings! While many faces may be new to Lewis, we know the excellent reputation enjoyed by our school and its culture of high expectations for academics and behavior will continue to flourish. We are looking forward to helping all parents become involved in their child’s educational experiences in elementary school. We are not only bringing back some of our beloved events and programs, but will also be introducing a few new events this year, such as our first-ever International Festival scheduled for this spring. You can find this event and all other “happenings” in this handbook/calendar. We hope you find it a useful resource and that you keep it handy to make planning easy.

We invite everyone to join the PTSA and to become more involved with the planning and execution of our programs and events. We welcome your opinions and encourage you to volunteer. The PTSA is first and foremost an advocacy group for our children; in that respect, we try to better our school and our community by providing programs and activities that help our families learn and grow together. We look forward to working with our wonderful teachers, staff, parents and students, and we especially extend a warm welcome to our new Principal, Kristi Kee. This is indeed going to be an exciting year!
